Cat Quest 2 Review
Cat Quest II is a very cute, sometimes cringey game about a world where cats and dogs are about to go to war. The game seems to make the point that both sides are equal, which I find strange considering the name of the game is Cat Quest II. You do not need to play the first Cat Quest to understand this game’s story.
-Gameplay
This game is a very fast paced action RPG/hack n’ slash. Each quests is very short. The longest quests in the game will probably only take you around 10 minutes to finish. That is made up for by the sheer abundance of story quests and side quests. Levels are gained extremely fast. Overall, the combat is very simple, and very easy to understand. Although not recommended, you could beat a level 100 enemy from the very start of the game without too much effort.
-Story
The main story of the game takes about 4-6 hours to beat. Despite that, there is enough content in the game to last for well beyond 10-15 hours. You probably won’t get that attached to the story of Cat Quest II. The Characters are kind of bland and ordinary, besides one memorable character (Hotto Doggo best waifu!) The story is also full of cheesy cat and dog jokes. Your enjoyment may partially depend on your sense of humor. I thought the jokes were unbearably cheesy, but also loved them for that reason.
-Final thoughts
Cat Quest II while not having an amazing or compelling story, is just a fun and relaxing game to play. I personally recommend playing this game in short burst for maximum enjoyment. If you want an action RPG that is fun, cute, and relaxing to play, give this game a try.
