Z Dawn is a fast-paced turn-based with roguelike elements in which you have to survive in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. The ultimate goal is to find a cure and evacuate the survivors. To survive, you must scavenge for supplies and deal with many random encounters. Build, upgrade your encampment and deal with zombies, zombie bosses, raiders and much more!
● Explore the wilderness left behind and find different locations
● Search for resources, weapons, ammunition, clothes, food, medicine, etc to keep the survivors alive
● Manage your survivors and equip them according to their favorite skills
● Build, upgrade and fortify your encampment to withstand the hordes of zombies

Z Dawn Review
Z Dawn may not be perfect and still has plenty of room to grow (it’s early access after all), but this game is, without a doubt, an amazing management-oriented, survival-themed turn-based strategy game that’s challenging even for “veteran players” of the genre.
In this game, you’ll not only have to make many hard decisions like deciding whether or not to let a bitten survivor die or amputate his/her arm/leg in hopes of saving them; you’ll also need to explore the map and scavenge enough supplies to 1. reinforce your encampment to keep them safe and 2. feed your group to keep them alive. You’ll get to set up a base camp and develop it as well… as long as you’ve got the materials, that is!
For some reason, I keep comparing it with Displaced, which is a somewhat similar, albeit war-themed, game. Displaced has a lot more story going for it, but for me at least, the game is childishly simple and I managed to “win” the game even on my first run. Z Dawn is definitely a lot more difficult, even at Normal difficulty, since zombies will swarm your encampment very frequently and health-restoring items are very hard to find… at least ones that will heal more than 1 HP at a time.
I’ve always liked playing survival-management games that are somewhat similar to Z Dawn, and even as challenging as I find the game to be, I absolutely loved playing the game. Yes, the game still has some room for improvement and the devs are also taking in suggestions to improve their game; but from what I can see at least, Z Dawn is already able to offer you hours of entertainment at its current early access state. Definitely a game worth wishlisting and if you really like what you see, then I’m sure you won’t regret buying the game outright!
