Bear Simulator
A game where you live life through the eyes of a bear. Eat things, go on an adventure and discover things about your forest home.
- Explore 7 different regions from the regular forest, to the mountain top or maybe take a long walk on the beach. But don’t go to the Spooky Woods, none have braved that task and came out with their sanity intact.
- Fight against an array of villainous creatures that dare try to stop your bear way of life, from the horrible bunny rabbit to the dreadful frog.
- Find things to eat like bugs, mushrooms, plants or various bits of food left by humans. All of which increase your bear stats: Strength, Dive and Intelligence to name a few.
- Collect cosmetics like hats, find curious things to decorate your den, discover strange and confusing bear beds. All very realistic bear behavior.
- Discover secrets but keep them secret ya hear?!
- View your bear through the Bear Face Cam. With it you can display your hats!
- Read the markings left by other animals after upgrading your nose.
The title gives you all you need to know as it’s pretty much a bear simulator. You play in FPB (First Person Bear) and do bear things which include exploring, eating fish and plants, striking down anything that dare stand before your might, increasing your stats, sleeping and discovering mysteries of your forest home.
Bear Simulator Review
While far from perfect, the game is an entertaining exploration experience. With some support, the developer could go on to polish a few things and make an even more enjoyable game (with some improved combat and hopefully no getting stuck, which was rare but annoying). However, the internet prefers to just shoot people down, and I imagine they still would if the game was only five dollars, or two dollars, because where’s the fun in supporting someone’s genuine hard work unless it’s perfect the first time you see it?
If you’re uncertain on the game, but are attracted to the exploration and/or silliness, feel free to wait for a sale, but don’t pass the game off completely. If you’re reasonably certain about it, buy it! If you expect non-stop action and violence in your games, and state-of-the-art graphics in your indies, you are in the wrong place.
