Sayonara Wild Hearts is a dreamy arcade game about riding motorcycles, skateboarding, dance battling, shooting lasers, wielding swords, and breaking hearts at 200 mph.
As the heart of a young woman breaks, the balance of the universe is disturbed. A diamond butterfly appears in her dreams and leads her through a highway in the sky, where she finds her other self: the masked biker called The Fool.
Journey through a custom-written pop soundtrack, chase scores, and set out to find the harmony of the universe, hidden away in the hearts of Little Death and her star-crossed allies: Dancing Devils, Howling Moons, Stereo Lovers and Hermit 64.

Sayonara Wild Hearts Review
I personally consider Sayonara Wild Hearts to be my game of the decade. I had played it twice before on a friend’s Switch and was thrilled to be able to finally own it and play it again. Behind its bright neon lights and infectious pop music lies a game which has a lot of heart, and tells its tale in a way only an interactive experience could do so.
If you like kinesthetic games such as Rez, Space Channel 5 and Tetris Effect, chances are you’ll probably like this one. If you like action-packed musical experiences such as Thumper and Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan, you’ll probably like this one as well. Even if you like rail-based arcade-like games such as Star Fox 64, Panzer Dragoon and Space Harrier, I think there’s something for you in here – just keep in mind it’s a different game and not exactly like any of these ones. I wouldn’t say the focus of Sayonara Wild Hearts is so much its action as what it does with it.
If you like music games and recognizes the value of games as an experience, don’t sleep on this one. It’s the type of game people shout from the rooftops for others to play, just because they love it so. Sayonara Wild Hearts is a real gem and deserves to be celebrated as such.
