Shell Shockers Review
Imagine your most favorite first person shooter game, but replace everyone with moving eggs. Sounds hilarious, but it’s also fun when you get to experience it. To do that, you will need to play Shell Shockers.
That’s right, this is a MMOFPS that uses eggs as its main characters. You have the ability to customize the look of your eggs to a certain extent, and also to select its specialty and weaponry.
There are basically three character classes here in this game. First, you have the Soldier. This is an assault-type character, armed with the game’s version of the AK-47 called “EggsK-47.” The Soldier deals out considerable damage but is quite limited in range and accuracy.
The second character class is the Free Ranger. Armed with a sniper rifle, the Free Ranger has the most in terms of accuracy compared to the other two classes. You can hit other players from extreme range, whether you activate the scope or not.
Last but not the least is the Scrambler. This one is a devil when faced in short-range. Its 12-gauge shotgun can make short work of any unfortunate character within its range. Two shots at point-blank range could shatter any egg caught in its deadly touch.
Once you join a game, you’re automatically plunged into free for all combat against all other eggs in the arena. It plays out like any other FPS, and the controls you use in your favorite FPS game are also the same buttons you use in here.
The only difference is that, instead of blood and gore when you score a kill, you either turn your opponent into fried eggs with bright yellow yolk or poached ones. Although the fighting is fiercely competitive, this extra bit of comedy can help lighten the mood and assuage frustrated egos, among others.
Shell Shockers is basically free to play, although some pay-to-win features may be available when you log in using your accounts.
The graphics on this game vary; this depends on the quality of your connection. The server looks at your ping rate, selects the best server for you, and adjusts your graphics and frames per second setting automatically.
