Deliver Us The Moon
Deliver Us The Moon is a Sci-Fi thriller set in an apocalyptic near future where Earth’s natural resources are depleted. In an effort to solve the energy crisis, global powers created the World Space Agency and secured a promising new source of energy on the moon.
The World Space Agency colonized and operated from the moon until one fateful night all communications with Earth ceased and the energy source was lost. Now, years later, you assume the role of Earth’s last astronaut on a do-or-die mission to investigate what happened and save humanity.
During this adventure, your only companion is a small robot named ASE. Together you will traverse the moon, explore abandoned facilities, gather clues and ultimately uncover the secrets and hidden agendas of those long gone!
Will you save mankind or be forgotten in the dark abyss of Space?
Ruins of previous lunar missions have many stories and secrets to tell. Use your Astrotool to uncover the history of the lunar colony. With the ASE drone as your sole companion, utilise the greatest technology mankind has to offer from new age space-suits, cutting lasers, rockets and robot arms. Overcome obstacles, dangers blocking your path and uncover the secrets of the past by using various tools and all of your wits to solve intricate puzzles. Launch a rocket from Earth, journey through the WSA space station and explore the open lunar landscape with weightless freedom – by foot, rover or monorail.
Deliver Us The Moon Review
The game is short (as the tags also state), but it is better to have a short, polished working game rather then a broken long game. I bought this on -10% discount, but the amount of interactivity, content and everything done&added in the game, I think justifies the price entirely. Making games isn’t cheap, support good devs :).
Why I recommend this game: I fully recommend this title because the story is fun, catching and intriguing. The game constantly gives you more and more challenges. The main parts of the game, as you can already see from the beginning of the game, is putting you through puzzles, but also giving you action and exciting moments as you progress (I did feel like I was travelling through a horror game at several points in the game, adding to the spice of its excitement without ruining the genre itself). The game also challenges you with certain areas where your succession is based on doing something before a certain time runs out. Reading props and objects around the areas was also an interesting thing.
Cons about this game:
There was some areas where I felt pressured to do something because of the timer and the fact of running out of oxygen. However I always got to read and check everything I wanted before the game went into such state. The game could also have had a bit more variety, because you would do something in the game, and then meet something similar/equal later on, where you have to do the exact same things, just in a different way to achieve it.
Overall I thought it was a great title, and having a partner in games like these is a massive + for me. In future titles if they are made, I hope the game will have people you will interact with to accomplish A or B, where you can see them and interact with them. I enjoy travelling togheter with a companion way more then I enjoy travelling empty spaces alone. If you like spending your afternoon with a game you are able to finish the same day, go for it :-).
