The threat of demonic power has returned to menace the world once again in Devil May Cry 5. The invasion begins when the seeds of a “demon tree” take root in Red Grave City. As this hellish incursion starts to take over the city, a young demon hunter Nero, arrives with his partner Nico in their “Devil May Cry” motorhome. Finding himself without the use of his right arm, Nero enlists Nico, a self-professed weapons artist, to design a variety of unique mechanical Devil Breaker arms to give him extra powers to take on evil demons such as the blood sucking flying Empusa and giant colossus enemy Goliath.

Devil May Cry 5 Review
Devil May Cry 5 is a brilliant comeback of the series after 11 years of wait. The game is short like all other entries with a run being around 9-12 hours but those hours are filled with an experience that people had been waiting for more than a decade to enjoy and it’s worth it. While the game maintains its usual formula, it introduces new aspects to returning characters and unique playstyles. It makes each of the protagonists diversify their approach to enemies and keeps gameplay fresh even after beating the game. This might be the best Devil May Cry up to date.
Gameplay is a beast, players get to play as three characters: Nero, V and of course Dante. Each of them has their own unique powers, mechanics, and upgrades. There is something for everyone: Nero is like the standard version, he has simple combos, complicated ones and a huge arrange of devil breakers. V is more quiet, like Vergil in previous titles is about dominating the battlefield by keeping different enemies at bay at all times while moving at a slow pace, analyzing what the player faces before jumping in. Finally, Dante is a clear contrast to V, he is crazy, fast and deadly. With an insane amount of weapons and techniques, Dante can do everything which can lead to some amazing-mindblowing combos.
The sequel that a lot of people thought would never see the light of the day is here, ready to please both old and new players with a new approach to the series. The game has three branches in the story, one for each protagonist and at times players can choose between which character they want to play as. For the first time, Devil May Cry features online play, with players running into each other and cooperating to beat sections, levels, and even bosses. Devil May Cry 5 is the game that fans had waited a good chunk of their life to play. It features smooth gameplay with intricating combos and that possibility of constant improvement, to reach that SSS rank or dominate the game for a section or two. Mastering the game it’s rewarding and enhances the experience overall. The story answer long debating question that fans have formulated over the years and the soundtrack while different, suits the series. I dare say this is the best games in the series and a must have for everyone who calls themselves a gamer.
