Firestone Idle RPG Review
Game is ok. For an idle one. Feels like a simplified version crusaders of lost idols (or their later installment whatever its called) with less moneygrab ‘flash offers’ simplier gameplay and way cheaper graphics too.
Seriously lacks some idle mechanics: auto-shooting of guardian, auto-casting of selected party leader spells, even auto-buying upgrades. Well it even doesnt have buy all button. Sessions are pretty short too, usually (like 2h prestiges early in the game) so it pretty much begs you to play it actively and rewards you for it. But not its like enjoyabe to play active or have any sense to do so. Apart from compensating for game’s lack of idle mechanics. To think of it, having push notification or a separate sound option to mute all but the notifications (research, map, this kind of stuff) would be a good addition.
About monetization: granted they ve throwed in some stuff, but nothing humble, like say 5dollar/30 day subscription, to allow us to show some interest and get some value (see how Endless world did with ‘tail’ – that what lets a player who dont want to whale in to show some appreciation for great value) otherwise stuff in the cash shop either costs way too much for a single player idle game which is not even close to being AAA in its class, or is just useless.
It can become decent with time, maybe but so far its way too bare-bone.
