Mindustry Review
After 50+ hours of playing time I think it’s a good moment to share my thoughts!
First of all let me say it’s a great game to play with a very original approach on the TD genre! The sounds effects are above average and the animations are good enough. This game scores on replayebility as much as Factorio and Creeper World, it’s just a lot of fun and you can change your tactics on every play.
The only downside I’ve got at this moment is that’s it’s way to easy.
For the insiders: On Ruinous Shores I got easily to wave 320 and stopped because I was bored. I also launched as much as 50.000 pieces of each item (Copper, Lead, Metaglass, Graphite and Silicon) so at this moment I don’t feel challenged.
Some suggestions I’ve to make it a little bit more challenging:
– Let the difficulty depend on your progress and your defend strategy, in other words..better AI.
– Make the world render unlimited
– Make resourcepatches (as in Factorio) which are not unlimeted, this way you have to rebuild your structures as resources run out.
But let me just say that for this price you’ve got an awesome game. The fact that I spend 50+ hours on a game with such a low price is just brilliant. Never expected it to be this good.
