Open World Game Review
You know all of your games? You know, the ones that you keep in a stack on the floor next to your Xtendo Switchstation? Destroy ’em. Toss them out the window. You don’t need them anymore. You shouldn’t WANT them anymore. They are futile.
Now this. THIS game is something to behold. This is the true gamer experience. Take hours upon hours discovering this beautiful world and discovering every intricate detail. It makes me wish for a VR version someday- something to suck me into that virtual world and leave my own.
The story is rich. Intricate. Beautiful. I was moved to tears multiple times. Its humor is spot-on, the drama tense, the romance.. romantic(?)
The combat in this game is refined. No more turn-based systems, No more stomping on enemies. No more slashing on enemies. It’s just.. enemies. You really FEEL like you’re in the game. The battles are fast-paced and thrilling.
Despite all other aspects of this game being perfect, it does have one flaw. The controls are a bit floaty- it takes time to get used to. Regardless, ascending the learning curve feels amazing. Epic, even. Like scaling the tallest mountain. Jumping the widest ravine. Making up a flight of stairs without being winded.
The game is superb. Purchase it at once. If you were to wait for one reason, it would just be for a Switch port.
