People Playground
Shoot, stab, burn, poison, tear, vaporise, or crush ragdolls. This game is for people who enjoy throwing around ragdolls but want it to be more detailed, satisfying, and feel more free while doing so. Every object has a set of properties that describe how it interacts with anything in the worldSome stuff is sharp. You can stab people (and other soft objects) with sharp objects such as swords or spears. Many things conduct electricty, some do it better than others. Humans are very good at it too.
When certain items are charged, they become a lot more powerful. Wood, rubber, plastic, and humans burn very well. Set them on fire and stare while it slowly turns black. The game contains a varied collection of projectile based weapons for you to play with. There’s different explosives that vary in destructive power as well as the manner in which they release their energy. You can build contraptions, usually death machines, to play around with.
People Playground Review
Very good game. There are little to no items you can play with, but more is bound to be added.
The game has good sound, echoes and such, which is odd for this kind of game, but I can see it being a help later down the road. For example, when you set off an atomic bomb, you can really FEEL it when it explodes.
The gore physics are really good, which is a good start for this game. Once they add more complex AI to the ragdolls, like being able to walk and such, the game will get a whole lot better.
Note, there’s going to be a lot of comparing to Mutilate a Doll 2 (Or MaD2 for short).
One thing they’re going to need to think about in the future, is MORE TOOLS.
There are very few things you can use to interact with the world. There are multiple kinds of restraints, a drag and drop tool, and a conductive wire tool.
In MaD2, you had multiple god powers, like bullets out of thin air, lasers, plague, etc.
Now, I’m not saying to copy MaD, but basic god powers can be fun (Or, instead of god powers, they could be “strange items” instead, as I’ll call them.
They also are going to need to add a workshop and entity/object editor/creator, so the player base can start to grow een more. I want to see creations!
Other than that, good game with potential, and a good price.
