S.W.I.N.E. HD Remaster Review
S.W.I.N.E is an old school Real Time Strategy game. There are some people calling it an old school difficult strategy experience while others suggest that it is very easy to complete as it is a much older game. I am between the middle honestly it is a very solid experience and it surely was 18 years earlier.
The Game offers 2 different Story campaigns which gives the game more replay-ability, the one campaign is the Rabbit campaign that basically deals with the Pig’s Offensive attempt in order to capture military areas of Carrot-land, in all that you ( The Rabbits ) basically attempt to eliminate each enemy in order to cut off their offensive attempts and bring peace until the next war.
The Pig campaign is the second available campaign which bring you to the other side of things. You will find yourself in the last couple of battles ( before winning the war ) where you basically try to eliminate the last rebels in order to capture Carrot-land. It is said that the Pig Campaign is aimed for players that want a more demanding experience.
As mentioned before S.W.I.N.E is a real time strategy game, so it basically focus fully on the tactical aspects of each battle, what does that mean? You won’t find yourself building various buildings and waiting for them to be completed so of course there is no resource gathering which can be very time consuming. Instead you’re given at the beginning of each Mission or after completing one a specific amount of Strategic Points ( aka SP ),these points allow you to either buy totally new vehicles or buy upgrades for your already existing vehicles.
Despite its age and the fact that this game is basically 18 years old in its core people still play and you can find a couple of lobbies with multiple modes like Capture the Flag or Deathmatch.
