Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Review
This game had a great story, and looks amazing, but where it really shines is in the game-play. Upon watching for the first time, I was very underwhelmed with how it looked, however, after playing you really realize how smooth and fun the combat is. I barely noticed the weird animations, and every time I got in a fight, I was excited to test my skills.
The game offers nothing really new with it’s mechanics, but it’s a perfect combination of the game-mechanics we’ve seen for the last few years, and you can definitely compare it to all sorts of existing titles.
The way the story flows is not as linear as you think either. It plays out a lot like Super Mario Odyssey. You have a ship and you can choose which planets you got to. You have entire planets to explore and find all of it’s chests and secrets. There is lot’s of climbing around and solving puzzles as well, Tomb-Raider style. I think the balance is perfect however.
Building your own lightsaber is very cool. We’ve seen this before in Jedi Academy, but this game allows you to select each an every part. You will continually find more parts as you explore as well, including materials for the lightsaber. It really does get you more invested in the character as you personalize his saber.
Unfortunately as for clothing, and your looks in general you don’t have a lot of options. The only real cosmetic is your poncho. You will find lot’s of poncho styles and colors, but I did not play using a poncho ever because I personally think it looks dumb.
Buy this game if you are a Star Wars fan. You won’t regret it. This is so much better than The Force Unleashed, and you DO NOT want to miss this experience.
